# Eligibility

A property receives `RTB` requests only when it meets **all** of the criteria below. If any
criterion is not met, requests for that property continue to use `requestType = INQUIRY` (RtB 1.0).

## Property criteria

1. **Enabled for Request to Book –** The property must already be on the Request to Book
model. RtB 2.0 applies only to properties that are RtB-enabled.
2. **Geographical location –** The property must be located in one of the following countries:
  * United States
  * Australia
  * France
  * Spain
  * United Kingdom
  * Germany
  * Italy
3. **Payment model –** The property must be on a **merchant model**, where Booking.com
collects the guest's payment. RtB 2.0 relies on pre-authorizing the guest's payment method at
request time and settling through a VCC on approval (see
[Payment and confirmation](/connectivity/docs/request-to-book/rtb-2.0/overview#payment-and-confirmation)).
Properties on the **agency model**, where the property collects payment directly, are **not**
eligible.

## Connectivity provider criteria

1. **Provider support for RTB mode –** The property's connectivity provider must support the
`RTB` mode. A property is eligible when either:
  * it is not yet connected to a connectivity provider, or
  * it is connected to a provider whose supported modes include `RTB`.
Properties connected to a provider that does not support `RTB` are not eligible. To enable `RTB`
support for your integration, enable the `rtb_api_v2_enabled` provider feature in Provider Portal,
as described in
[Getting access](/connectivity/docs/request-to-book/rtb-2.0/overview#getting-access).
